Seawolves defeat Air Force Falcons 67-64
The Seawolves traveled out to Colorado to take on Air Force on new years eve and came away with an important win before beginning conference play this weekend. The win pushes the Seawolves to 7-5 and continues the teams best start as a D1 school.
Seawolves leading Air Force at half
Stony Brook leads 26-25 out in Colorado. The Seawolves are out rebounding Air Force 10-0 on the offensive glass. Although Air Force is shooting over 50 percent Stony Brook is ahead of the 9-3 Falcons.
Men's Basketball Improves to 6-5
The road win Sunday afternoon at St. Peter's helps the Seawolves continue its best start ever in Division I play.
Coach Pikiell played only eight players in the game, with all four freshman playing considerable minutes. I plan to ask him about how he plans to settle on a rotation for America East play later in the week.
The Seawolves play one more game, at Air Force on New Year's eve, before beginning America East play on Saturday night at Binghamton.
In the mean time, here's a little insight into how Coach Pikiell and his freshman are adjusting this season.
